eGrowcery Platform Expands to Support Prepared Foods

New module features all ecommerce capabilities needed to market meal solutions

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI, Dec. 1, 2022— Prepared foods continue to be a hot category for supermarkets and other food retailers. A trend that started during the pandemic when many restaurants closed, meal solutions prepared at the store or in a commissary are growing at an annual rate of more than 6%, according to Technomics.

“The use of online ordering for our kitchen items, which is a bit different from groceries because of the timing, has been really well received. The volume for prepared foods is still smaller than the grocery business but it’s growing at a faster rate and we expect that to continue,” said Armando Martinez, co-owner of La Bonita, adding that the the eGrowcery system is critical to that future growth.
