Iris Strengthens its Senior North American Leadership, Adds VP of Growth and Head of Client Services

Mike Giger

New York, Oct. 25, 2022 — As part of its continued commitment to expand both its presence and offering in North America, global creative company Iris has added two new team members stateside, announcing the appointment of Dan Lescarbeau as Vice President of Growth and Mike Giger as Head of Client Services, based out of Iris San Francisco.

Lescarbeau has been tasked with leading growth efforts across Iris’ North American offices, with an initial focus on Atlanta, Chicago and San Francisco. Lescarbeau will partner closely with Jill Smith, CMO of Iris North America and Global CMO of Cheil Connec+, the collective offering of six Cheil network agencies including Iris.

“Dan and Mike bring the experience, ambition and reputation that further enables Iris North America to tackle big client challenges and deliver the world-class creative solutions we’ve long been known for,” said Ian Sohn, CEO of Iris North America. “I’m honored they’ve joined us and am already loving digging into the work with them.”

Based in Chicago, Sohn was tapped for the CEO spot earlier this year, having previously served as President and Chief Client Officer at Hawkeye (part of Publicis Groupe), as well as agency giants Wunderman Thompson, SapientRazorfish and Ogilvy & Mather prior to that.

Before joining Iris, Lescarbeau held senior new business-focused roles at Stagwell’s Mono and Dentsu’s McGarryBowen, now Dentsu Creative. “From day one, I’ve been impressed with Iris’ people-first culture and purpose-driven approach,” said Lescarbeau. “We have big growth aspirations for Iris in North America. What’s exciting is the existing foundation of blue-chip clients like Adidas, Barclays, Bentley and Samsonite, as well as our award-winning work and our amazingly talented people both in the U.S. and within our global network. I’m thrilled to dive in headfirst as we chart our next chapter.”

Giger has more than two decades of experience in the advertising world where he’s helped develop integrated marketing campaigns for global brands. Giger joined Iris from FCB West, where he managed client relationships and led development efforts for global campaigns at Microsoft, Levi’s, Ghirardelli and HOKA.

“By bringing my energy and enthusiasm, coupled with Iris’ strategic and creative talent, I feel confident that we will continue to develop innovative campaigns that will drive our clients’ businesses forward,” said Giger. “To put it plainly, my mission is to develop transparent partnerships with a sense of ‘shared skin in the game,’ so that we can deliver innovative work as an agency partner and ultimately move the needle.”
